The fine print, in plain words
Is Pausebar a subscription?
No. Pausebar is a one-time purchase — pay once and the license is yours for life. The first 50 founding members pay $9.99; after that it's $14.99. No tiers, no upsells, no renewal.
Do I need an account?
No account, ever. After purchase you paste a license key into the app — no sign-in, no profile. The license is issued online via Polar (the payment processor).
Does lifetime include future updates?
Yes — all updates are included. Pay once and the app keeps improving; there is no upgrade fee and no subscription hiding behind the word “lifetime”.
How does the trial work?
Every download starts a 7-day free trial with every feature unlocked — no card and no account required. When it ends, a one-time license unlocks the app for good.
Which Macs does it run on?
Any Mac running macOS 13 or later. Pausebar is a native menu-bar app, built for the Mac only.
How many Macs does one license cover?
One Mac at a time. Getting a new machine? Deactivate the old Mac in the app's License settings and activate the same key on the new one — it moves with you, no support ticket needed.
What if it isn't for me?
Email support within 14 days of purchase for a refund — see the refund policy. The trial plus the refund window means you can try Pausebar with no real risk.
